Magazine Subtopia
Magazine Subtopia promotes the creative cluster Subtopia and is redesigned by a new designer every year. For their ninth issue I was given the assignment. Since the magazine is bilingual, the concept was to design so that all the readers would have the same impression regardless of language knowledge.
As Subtopia is a strong advocate for street art, the design of the magazine is inspired by the way street artists relates to space. The Swedish and English titles are stacked upon each other and quotes and headlines breaking into the images och flows into each other. Most significant, the Swedish and English body texts overlaps through out the entire magazine.
The photos in the magazine are taken by Saga Berlin/Niceguzz. The magazine was nominated for the Swedish Design Award 2016.
