Annual report
Svenska Tecknare has been organizing Sweden’s professional illustrators and graphic designers since 1955. In the spring of 2021, I was commissioned to art direct and design the annual report.
To highlight the designer's role in the process, the design featured the otherwise hidden characters in the headlines. The hidden characters are instructions about line breaks, space types, and other formatting details, and they are widely used by designers to show how the text is formatted during the work process. In my imagination, it’s almost like a secret language for designers.
